FESTE NURBURG

... Caught cold
A streaky run for
Jacos Paddock Motorsport

As part of the 24-hour race Jaco's Paddock Motorsport started in the second round of the Rundstrecken-
challenge Nürburgring at 13th May.
In very cold temperatures and drizzling rain contributed start driver Patrick Zufelde the BMW 325i in the race, which took over the full circuit (24-hour race course) of GP track and Nordschleife.

Already in the second lap Zufelde experienced the pitfalls of the Nordschleife with a trip into the guardrail. As an experienced rally driver he could prevent more serious damage to the car. Thus, during a brief pit stop the bumper was removed and the car continued the hunt for a good placement in the class V4.

Jaco Velders took the 325i E36 on track in the tank round and was able to do good times, so Velders: "The track was so cold that it was impossible for us to bring the tires on a reasonable temperature. We have given everything, as always, my colleague is not familiar with the GP circuit and also had his first wet race today. Based on these facts, we are very pleased with our result.

" To get more secure in the racing-BMW and refine the set-up Zufelde and Velders will drive the Hankook Touring Car Cup & Trophy for the Festival race in Spa Francorchamps on 28-30th May.

Jaco's Paddock Motorsports
will start again in the next RCN at 26. June.
